Area Guidelines

Qualifying for WF-Si State and World. 
Note: World Fastpitch-Softball International (WF-SI) has been founded to provide 
an international softball effort with a World base in the South Padre Island Area of Texas.
Enjoy the beautiful, clean beach - visit old Mexico - play competetive international Softball,
all at vacation rates much lower than any other resort area, and in a town rated #1 in Texas
as safest.   The area of focus for 2006 will be Canada, Mexico, and the Western half of the 
United States (Mississipi to Hawaii), although teams from the Eastern half may attend World.

Any team having registered FastPitch-Si in 2005 online at SelectSoftball.com will be given a 
membership in the new organization - WF-Si.    2006 Team Sanction fees are due September 1.
 
Attend the necessary qualifiers, attend State, and go to World....

Berths will be awarded as follows, with the exception(s) being the local division director's 
decision, with the approval of State and World, and the availability of berths. Formulas for 
the awarding of berths, if in exception to the below, will be posted on the division web site.

1. State Qualifier (SQ) - Attending one State Qualifier will grant a berth to State. 
2. State Tournament - World Berth for all attending teams *
3. World Qualifier (WQ) - World Direct Berth for winning team(s) **
4. National Tournament (NIT) - World Direct Berth for winning team(s) * (Double points for 
attending an NIT)
5. Hardship Berth - awarded by State Director (or division director) for mitigating reasons.
6. World Direct Berth for Team hosting a WF-Si Qualifier or State

*  If there is no State Tournament within your Area, contact your Regional Director for how
   to obtain an invitation to World

** Age/Class must have at least 5 teams in the tournament for direct berth to be awarded.

All Team Classification are subject to review by the State Director.

The 2006 Season starts September 2005, and all points awarded in the Fall will be applied 
to 2006 record. Points may be used to seed State and World.

Teams should be able to attend the World Qualifier/State Tournament of their choice 
regardless of their location. State Tournaments are for Home State Teams, unless approved 
by both State Directors.

General Guidelines 

1. All WF-Si Qualifier Tournaments will be posted at this official site, and require approval 
by the appropiate State Director. FREE Tournament entry will be made available to the 
hosting associations. 

2. All WF-Si teams will register online via the official State site at SelectSoftball.com. 
Teams registering at tournaments still need to enter their team information online, and 
enter all tournaments online (FREE). 

3. All unpaid WF-Si Sanctions (Team and/or Tournament) will be sent to the address below 
by the Tuesday following the tournament.  After payment is received, Teams will be issued 
a WF-Si ID number, at which time their Team record will be updated, and they may access 
and print their ID card from the Team Menu.

4. Tournament Directors will be responsible for verifying that all teams have registered 
online for their tournament, and will enter the results of the tournament on this official Web 
Site no later than the Tuesday after the tournament. Team Sanction fees collected by 
Tournament Directors will be forwarded at this time to:

World FastPitch-Si is NOT associated with any other Softball affiliation, although individual
Tournament Directors may choose to dual-sanction their tournaments.
